What is ESOS?
An organisation will need to undertake an ESOS assessment in Phase 2 if it meets the following criteria on the qualification date of 31stDecember 2018:
- Classed as a large undertaking, if the business or as part of a corporate group:
- Has > 250 employees or
- Has turnover > €50m and balance sheet > €43m

Encope’s ESOS Lead Assessor(s)will conduct audits in accordance with BS EN 16247 to assess your organisations energy-related systems across buildings, processes and transport. After the audit(s), we will develop complete energy audit reports, analysing current conditions at your organisation from an energy efficiency point of view and identifying any way in which you can improve your organisation’s energy efficiency. The audit report(s) will enumerate cost-effective measures for reducing energy usage within your organisation. Our goal is to provide not just compliance with the Law, but a quality audit that will identify a broad range of options for reducing energy usage and operating costs.ESOS is currently in its second phase (compliance period 2).
